WHAT IS ROCK ART?
Rock art may be referred to more
accurately as petroicons.
Petro is Greek for stone , but what is an
icon? The word is derived from the Greek,
meaning an image or figure. There are
several ways by which those who preceded
us left behind images and figures on stone.
